DuPage Libertarians Monthly Meeting

The DuPage Libertarians will be hosting our first ever DuPage County Central Committee on Wednesday, April 18th where we will conduct official voting from Precinct Committeemen for our District Representatives and our State Party Executive Board.

As you probably noticed, our usually scheduled meeting would have been on the third Thursday of the month, and this is the first time in recent memory of at least ten years where we will deviate from that in order to comply with Illinois state law.

Aside from the voting, the convention will otherwise be run as any other normal meeting. It is still free, all ages, and open to the public – however the only people who will be taking part in the election are precinct committeemen.

As for the meeting itself, we will be covering our participation in the Itasca and Wooddale Memorial Day parades as well as the ongoing petition drive. If you have any petitions you would like to turn in, feel free to stop by and drop them off.

Thanks again, and we hope to see you at our convention this year.

Time: Wednesday, April 18th at 7 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: American Tap, 701 W Lake St, Addison, Illinois 60101

Memorial Day Parades – Itasca and Wooddale

The DuPage Libertarians will be marching in two parades back to back this morning, the villages of Itasca and Wood Dale. The Itasca parade kicks off at 9am, and the Wooddale parade kicks off at 11am. Many groups participate in both, and we will do the same.

The Itasca’s Memorial Day Parade begins at St. Matthew’s Church @ Bryn Mawr and Catalpa Ave (check in time is at 8:30am) and ends near Usher Park by the railroad tracks.

The Wood Dale Memorial Day Parade staging begins at 10am on Elizabeth Drive between Addison and Wood Dale Road, and kicks off from there heading north on Addison Rd.

We need people to pass out literature, pass out candy, hold signs, and lead the parade by carrying the banner. We expect to have many candidates with us, so we will need more volunteers to help make up the difference.

If you are interested in joining in, do not hesitate to contact us and let us know as soon as possible so we can plan out exactly who will be with us that morning.
