Itasca Memorial Day Parade
Time: 8:30am – 10:00am
Location: Corner of Catalpa and Bryn Mawr Ave. in Itasca, IL
Details: The DuPage Libertarians will be marching in the Village of Itasca’s Memorial Day Parade, which starts at St. Matthew’s Church @ Bryn Mawr and Catalpa Ave (check in time is at 8:30am) and ends near Usher Park.
It’s a simple parade route with a modest crowd, an easy way to start off the year. We need people to pass out literature, to pass out candy, to hold signs, and to lead the parade by carrying the banner. We will have our two statewide candidates Claire Ball for IL Comptroller and Chris Michel for US Senate with us, so this should be a fun, relaxing, and productive event this year!
If you are interested in joining in, do not hesitate to contact us and let us know as soon as possible so we can plan out exactly who will be with us that morning.
There will be a small grill-out at DuPage Libertarians Chair Brian’s house in Addison after the event. Anyone who participates in the parade is welcome to follow us back and get some food. BYOB.

DuPage Libertarians May 2016 Meeting
Time: Meet, greet and eat @ 6:00pm, meeting starts @7:00pm
Location: The American Tap @ 701 W. Lake St., Addison, IL
Details: By this meeting, we will be roughly half way through our petition drive, and crunching down on getting signatures. Volunteers with notarized petitions can stop in at the meeting to drop them off.
We will also have blank petition forms for volunteers who need to grab some, as well as pens and clipboards. We can answer any questions you may have about the process, and you can bet we have a full calendar of events listed for you to join us in collecting signatures if you want.
You can also meet our two statewide candidates who will be on the ballot; Kent McMillen for US Senate, and Claire Ball for IL Comptroller. Feel free to talk with the candidates and ask them questions on any topic you like.
If you have never been to a Libertarian chapter group, feel free to jump in! We are growing every week as voters become fed up with the broken two-party system. See what we are about, talk with like-minded individuals, and perhaps you may find you are a libertarian, too. All newcomers are welcome!
